After trying various travel agencies, I've finally found the best one! Awaken travels has consistently worked hard on my cruises (multiple cruise lines) to solve problems, save me money, get upgrades, navigate covid cancellations and now covid testing requirements, etc. They've saved me so much time on hold and frustration trying to get answers if I'd tried to do it in my own!! And of course they don't charge for handling all my cruise bookings! Teresa, Vijal and Cindi are all so friendly and professional–a great team!
Ajay was a super travel agent to deal with! Ajay takes the time to understand the type of holiday you want, and the type of traveller you are. The Travel Guru is amazing! We travelled with an infant and everything went smooth. The cruise was the perfect suggestion for a vacation, it was so family orientated. We had a blast and will definitely be booking another one next summer!
I would enthusiastically recommend the services of Alli Allen in planning your next vacation. We just returned from a dream family vacation in Alaska. Of course, the pandemic upset everyone's plans and we were no exception. Our travel provider cancelled our trip in July. I searched for travel company recommendations and was referred to Alli. Not only was she able to find one Alaska travel experience for our family, she presented three different options that would meet our needs and travel time constraints. She monitored the Alaska travel restrictions for us and kept us up to date on those changing requirements. So grateful for all of her research, hard work and communication because the trip was AMAZING.
Working with Ken is ALWAYS a pleasure!!!! He is the consummate professional. We have worked together for a long time so Ken really tailors a trip to my family's needs. He knows how much out door adventure we like, vs cultural experiences. He knows my kids love theater so looks for those opportunities. He even knows I don't like small airplanes so makes sure I will be comfortable. We had the trip of a lifetime thanks to Ken and his team's meticulous planning and attention to detail. In addition I have peace of mind that if anything goes wrong I have someone to call. I could not have been happier and am already working with Ken on my next trip!!!
Cindy is an outstanding travel agent, not only for me, but for many others. Why else do people who move out of the area/state continue to use Cindy via e-mail and telephone only? Some of her clients have never met Cindy, having been recommended years ago by friends who know of Cindy's dedication towards her clients. She works fastidiously to provide the perfect arrangement for everyone and follows up after the trip is over.
Recently traveled to Japan and South Korea. I'm a "rugged" traveler. They had all pubic transport mapped out ahead of time. I was booked in a hotel that fit my needs and exceeded my expectations. I had the privilege of being part of 4 of the top traditional summer festivals of Japan and climbing to a seaside temple where I took part in a Buddhist prayer ceremony in South Korea. I've worked with Blackhawk Vacations for over 8 years and I wouldn't recommend anyone else.
