My most recent qualifications: I have received my second destination specialty from Tourism Australia (10/9/19); the first one, a couple of months ago, was from the US Virgin Islands (I thought that was a great first choice!). I have obtained the Commodore designation from Cunard, and also from Princess Cruises; 4 certificates from Crystal Cruises: World of Crystal, Crystal Cruises, Crystal River Cruises and Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises. I am a cruise Specialist with Windstar Cruises. I have also earned a Master's Certificate from Norwegian Cruise Line's NCLU, in addition to attaining the Specialist title at Uniworld River Cruises and also at, both, Scenic and Emerald Waterways Cruises, along with Viking Cruises' Foundations of River Cruising Specialist; Danube River Specialist; and Rhine, Main, Moselle, and Elbe River Specialist. In the hotel arena, I am a sales specialist to two of the top 5 largest worldwide: I am a Marriott Hotel Sales Specialist, and I have also been accepted as a Wyndham Sage by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts by completing their aproved course of study, Wyndham Wise. My education is continuing, because I don't see how one can help a client make choices if one lacks the knowledge. I will be experiencing some of these cruises and hotels myself to best serve you.
I am passionate about customer service and treating my clients professionally...with a personal touch. When it comes to REAL travel, I am a late bloomer!! But, better late than never, I always say, right? It wasn't voluntary in any event. Fear of flying, conquered 6 years ago, opened up the world to me again!! Before I was "grounded," I managed to visit Ecuador and Mexico and, of course, as much as I could of our beautiful USA, which I also traveled throughout while I didn't fly. But starting in 2014, I made up for lost time and have gone to Europe 4 times already!! As if that were not enough, I've done most of it solo!! If any ONE thing could be said about me and travel, is that I wish everyone could experience a solo trip at least once...even a female...even a "mature" one - LOL. I don't think there is a better way to experience empowerment. Besides my recent marathon travel, which already helps me a lot, I have a law degree and license (voluntarily inactive) from California, and practiced for about 10 years. More "recently," for the past 19 years, I've had my own insurance agency. Taking care of clients the RIGHT way is second nature to me. Many travel advisors are experienced, educated and well-traveled. I think the ones who stand out MUST always put the client first, and go the extra mile. There IS a difference!! Wanna bet?
Update: As of January 3, 2020, I have traveled to 30 countries (and several cities within them) and 4 continents.
